The point of on-device AI isn’t the technology — it’s permission. You can think out loud about anything. Spoken audio is transcribed, anything you say or type can be organized, and keyword search runs on this device.
- Stays on device. Audio, transcripts, Notes, and the keyword index are stored locally.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no identity to attach your thoughts to.
- Works in airplane mode. Capture, transcription, organizing, and keyword search do not need a connection.
- Leaves only if you ask. Export creates a file you choose to share. There is no sync.
- Content-free analytics only. Limited usage and reliability events start when the app is used. They may describe the app, device, processing stage, or purchase state—but never include your recordings, transcripts, Notes, titles, searches, or typed text.

When does JotMind launch?
JotMind is in final preparation for an iPhone launch on iOS 26 or later. We don’t publish a date until it’s certain — leave your email above and we’ll tell you when it is live.
Does my audio or text ever leave my phone?
Your JotMind content does not. Recording, transcription, organizing, and keyword search all run on the device. Limited content-free analytics and subscription services use the network; export or sharing sends only what you deliberately select.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Speech recognition and organizing models ship inside the app, so Capture and organizing work from the first Note — including in airplane mode.
What’s free, and what does Pro add?
Basic includes voice and text Capture, on-device transcription and organizing, Outline, Start over, keyword search, Recently Deleted, sharing, and Markdown export. Every voice Capture is limited to 5 minutes. Pro adds Deep Dive, Action Plan, and Idea Map. The US founding price is $2.99/month or $24.99/year. Eligible new annual subscribers receive a 14-day free trial; the App Store confirms eligibility and shows your local price.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
A JotMind Note is a readable draft, not the source record. Saved voice Captures keep their original audio; when transcription succeeds, its text remains checkable beside the Note.
Which languages does it support?
The interface is available in English and Simplified Chinese; Welcome, the subscription screens, and the legal and support pages stay in English, as do all other system locales. Transcription handles English and Mandarin Chinese.
Does JotMind sync between devices?
No. JotMind is local to one device at launch, and its content is also excluded from iPhone and iCloud backups — so it does not carry over to a new phone on its own. Export your library as Markdown before you switch devices. You can share a Note or export everything as Markdown whenever you choose.
What happens when Pro ends?
Nothing you already have goes away. Every Note, original recording, transcript, and title stays readable, editable, and exportable, including Notes that were built with a Pro style. Outline and Start over stay free. The one limit is generating a Pro style again: starting over on a Note that is set to Deep Dive, Action Plan, or Idea Map needs an active subscription, or you can switch that Note to Outline and start over for free.
